LAUNCHER
Launcher, founded in 2017 and now a Vast company, specializes in 3D-printed rocket engines and orbital transfer vehicles to enable affordable small satellite launches to low-Earth orbit (LEO). Their flagship E-2 is a LOX/kerosene oxidizer-rich staged combustion engine delivering 10 tonnes of thrust—designed for efficiency in small launchers like the original Launcher Light (up to 150 kg to LEO). Acquired by Vast in 2023, they shifted from the discontinued Orbiter OTV (which flew on SpaceX rideshares in 2023) to powering next-gen propulsion for commercial space, with ongoing tests at NASA Stennis supporting US Space Force contracts and 2025 engine sales.
